GSA U-4 Soccer Sprouts

GSA U-4 Soccer Sprouts

What is the format?

The GSA Soccer Sprouts (U-4) is an instructor-led, educational program geared toward teaching our youngest players the fundamentals of soccer. Players are placed in small groups to maximize the amount of individual attention from the instructor in each session. Sessions last a total of 45 minutes during which the players will participate in educational games that emphasize core technique and lots of exercise. Players are given several breaks during each session.

Who is the coach?

U-4 training sessions are run by licensed coaches.

When and where will the sessions be held?

Training sessions will be held at Headley Park each week on Saturdays at 9:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 11:00 AM, and 12:00 PM depending on the time your child is assigned to.

What equipment do players need?

All players are required to have a size 3 soccer ball, shin guards, socks that cover their shin guards completely, and weather appropriate clothing. Soccer cleats are recommended for all players, but they are not required at this age. Soccer Sprouts are not required to purchase a GSA uniform, however, many choose to do so.

What happens if the weather is bad?

We will not play in overly wet or cold weather. Call GSA at (614) 855-0506 or check the GSA website for rain-out information. If the weather turns bad during a session, the instructor may end the session early.
